A new character for the next series of Doctor Who has been announced by BBC America!
Keeley Hawes, from Upstairs, Downstairs and Line of Duty, will be playing a character called Ms. Delphox. The only information released about the character is that the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) and Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) will meet her when they land on a mysterious and puzzling world and that she has a dark secret.
It is still unknown when Doctor Who will première on British or American screens but no doubt more information will be released soon.
Okay, so if you haven’t watched the special, I would NOT recommend reading this post until AFTER you have watched it. I don’t want to accidentally give away any spoilers.
BBC America has a load of extra stuff for you to check out including a deleted scene…
…And inside looks at the 50th special:
And if that wasn’t enough, the Classic Doctors have tried to get involved with the 50th Special. The BBC have released the 30 minute Five Doctors Reboot which you can find here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01m3kfy And don’t forget to check out the other goodies on there too. (I apologise if it doesn’t work outside of the UK!)
And once you have finished with that, how about some (Christmas) pudding with the Christmas Doctor Who Teaser Trailer?:

A good friend of mine has dropped me a link to an article on the Tennant News Blogspot blog of David Tennant talking about his return to Doctor Who for the 5oth Anniversary, working with Matt Smith, watching previous anniversary episodes as a child and how this Anniversary will compare to those episodes episodes.
You will also find a short synopsis of the episode from details released this week, links to more interviews with other stars of the episode and more information about the episode itself.
The video included in this article is from the BBC so I apologise if you are outside of the UK and cannot view it.
